Mythic Europe - Mythic Europe is the setting for the role-playing game Ars Magica, closely based on the Medieval Europe of history and folklore. Note that this is a "Mythic" world, so the folklore, fairy tale and myth is every bit as real (in the game-world) as is the "history.
Medieval technology - During the 12th and 13th century in Europe there was a radical change in the rate of new inventions, innovations in the ways of managing traditional means of production, and economic growth. Medieval art - Medieval art covers a vast scope of time and place, over 1000 years of art history in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. It includes major art movements and periods, national and regional art, genres, revivals, the artists crafts, and the artists themselves.
A Short History of Progress - A Short History of Progress, written by Ronald Wright, describes how four historical civilizations (Easter Island, Sumer, Maya and Rome) self-destructed due to a lack of foresight and to wrong choices.
